What are the Duties and Responsibilities of a Store Manager?

In retail business, you need to consider several important duties and responsibilities that have great influence on small store, minimarket, and even supermarkets’ efficiency and effectiveness. As a shop owner or store manager, first you must ensure that no single person in our company that have nothing to do with the outcome. 1. Sales and Profitability - Each store manager knows that their goal is to achieve sales targets set. Therefore, in any retail business, inventory ideal is "just enough" is not excessive and does not lack. After you use the Pareto Sales Principle, you will know which group of items belongs to Slow Moving Items (SMI) and Fast Moving items (FMI), and then you will be able to view the Inventory Turn Over (ITO) of each item. 3. The Control of Human Resources - When the two factors mentioned above have been set, then we need to do is take advantage of all workers are exactly the right quality and quantity. The common things the store manager has to control are maintaining the cleanliness of the store, and maintaining and care for the asset. 5. Customer service - In customer service, a store manager needs to consider several important points such as, provide information of access roads into the store, parking area, during the service, and cashier.
