The two persons were students that drop out from their PhD program at Stanford.The first name of Google was googol. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were deciding to named they website name with googol because it has a meaning that refers to 10^100 . The two young persons were naming their website with that name to symbolize their ranking algorithms website project, as a project that will involve massive data.

After Larry Page and Sergey Brin sure that their website have a capability that very useful for many people, they confidently introduce their googol with an investor named Andy Bechtolsheim, one of the founders of Sun. But when they introduce their website to Andy Bechtolsheim, they change the googol to Google, in order to make a name that selling.

In fact, now Google is very famous in the world, and Google is a giant company, and Google is a company that is very influential in the world of information and business. More unique about Google again, website Google is a website that is very difficult to compete by its competitor like Yahoo, Facebook, Bing, Wikipedia, and other top ranked websites, because Google also offer free features with its highly sophisticated and very useful for Internet users in all around the world. Until now, Google still persistent with its undefeated website rank with the site ranked number 1 based on Alexa Ranking.

From this unique fact, what it the important idea that we can we take? For me, I really like the way they determine the name for their website. Larry Page and Sergey Brin have made a very strategic branding with a brand that selling. So, when you are in a branding stage of your product, try to learn by these two persons in branding. Branding is important in product marketing.
